NE lattice paths most commonly begin at the origin. Lattice paths are often used to count other combinatorial objects.

Amol Aggarwal: \

Similarly, there are many combinatorial objects that count the number of lattice paths of a certain kind. This occurs when the lattice paths are in bijection with the object in question. For example. NE lattice paths have close connections to the number of combinationswhich are counted by the binomial coefficientand arranged in Pascal's triangle.

The diagram below demonstrates some of these connections. The graphical representation of NE lattice paths lends itself to many bijective proofs involving combinations. Here are a few examples. So the total number of lattice paths remains the same.

Superimpose the NE lattice paths squared onto the same rectangular array, as seen in the figure below. In particular, notice that any lattice path passing through the red lattice point for example is counted by the squared set of lattice paths also shown in red.

The intention of this simulation framework is to first and foremost, generate and examine different Tangle environments under different conditions. These simulations help us to further improve and optimize the IOTA Tangle itself, but to also show the resiliency of the Tangle against attacks or to study new potential attacks.

With the IOTA Foundation officially being set up, we intend to take this research to the next level and will start sharing more regular updates from the IOTA Research Team. This work on the simulation framework has been lead by Alon and I on two different fronts.

In this blog post, with the accompanying paper, we will share some of the first results gathered from these simulations. The simulation software itself is currently being prepared for a public release.Should have the class from this sort of mark, but the race may not be run to suit.

This clearly will have been the long term plan for his this season but a career high mark is going to take plenty of defying. He acts on any ground, giving the impression that the step up in trip is going to suit him. He has cheekpieces back on for the first time in this country.

They didn't work well in France so that is a slight concern. That horse won the Troytown from 148 so that makes this mark of 150 look very tempting. Faces a lot of competition for the lead however which isn't a plus for his chances. Six pounds higher than that in a deeper contest, he doesn't look one of the more likely ones to challenge. Very one paced on his return, the step up in trip should help him, minor each way claims. Mullins, IrelandOne of two raiders for Willie Mullins in the contest, he has no stamina concerns, digging deep to win the Bobbyjo Chase in January on heavy ground.

All four career wins have come right handed, his efforts this way round nothing like as good which is a concern. Mullins, IrelandSlammed Alpha Des Obeaux on his debut for the Willie Mullins yard, that runner-up winning in Grade 2 company two starts later.

Hammered eighteen pounds by the handicapper for that but rightfully so, he will have the race run to suit his hold up style. Heskin T: Tom GeorgeProgressive last season, he is a strong stayer. His best form has all come at Cheltenham but the impression he gives is that this contest full of front runners will suit his strong travelling style. Needs a little more but is open to further progression.

Ran okay on his return, this will have been the plan over the summer to come back to this contest. Rising twelve and faces competition for the lead but not totally discounted.

Dug deep to win the Badger Ales Chase at Wincanton last time but will face even more competition for the lead here which makes his task tough. Looked a potential star when dotting up over hurdles at this meeting in 2015, his form since has been inconsistent. Plenty of front runners in here so will have to work hard to get the run of the race.

Shown little since sent into handicap company, it would be a surprise if he were good enough to figure at the business end. That will be a huge asset given the number of front runners in the race, but whether he has the cruising speed to take advantage is a doubt. This is another step up the ladder with the ground looking softer than ideal for him. He is a dour stayer so this test is going to be perfect for him and as Nigel Twiston-Davies' charity bet, he needs each way consideration.

Connections replace cheekpieces with first time blinkers, he should have the race run to suit with a strong pace on.

### Lattice path

Fourth in the Kim Muir when hampered, he stays this trip and acts on soft ground, looks a little overpriced. He has first time blinkers fitted replacing cheekpieces and didn't run as badly as pulled up suggests in the Badger Ales Chase but needs plenty more if he is to take home this prize. All three of his wins have come right handed which is a slight concern, but he will get the strong pace to aim at here which he needs. Whether he will go though with his effort if he gets to the front however is another thing entirely.

Each week during the NFL season, theScore's Dane Belbeck will handicap every matchup and offer up a three-pack of picks. For the former Pitt standout's first start, Buffalo heads west to face the Chargers and their dominant pass-rushing duo of Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram. The day tour to Lake Myvatn - something Magic, was an absolute delight and our guide excellentNordic Visitor delivered everything that was promised on their website.

The marking of accommodation, route and attractions on the map in highlighter was fantastic and made it easier to plan our days. I really felt your booklet of Useful information and Iceland Highlights was very helpful. Iceland is a beautiful country, the people are friendly, the geology is unique and the history is very interesting. I traveled with my sister and we were thrilled with your services.

Your planned suggested route and booking of accommodations for us was especially helpful and what we were the most interested in. It left us able to focus on the sites we wanted to see and the things we wanted to experience.

Alexandra was very communicative from the first booking inquiry I sent to the last minute addition of a Glacier Hike. You were also very patient and accommodating when my credit card company declined a charge. We were sad we were unable to meet with Alexandra during our time there, but we just had too much to do. There were no problems and we had a tremendous time. Thank you for a trip of a lifetime.

I have already recommended you to a former colleague interested in a trip to Iceland and I am sure he won't be the last. I hope to get to use you again some day. We started with the Full Circle tour and customized it. I've never used a tour company before--I do all the trip planning in our family, and even though we were using Nordic Visitor, I did a lot of research and had some specific requests.

Larus was fantastic, answering my questions and making good suggestions about routes and places to stay. Nordic Visitor provides maps plus vouchers for all hotels, services, and tours booked through them.

Their road atlas is crammed with historical information. Unfortunately, it goes around the ring road in a clockwise direction, and we were going counter-clockwise--which meant I had to figure out how to read it backwards. Even if you're using Nordic Visitor to do your bookings, it's a good idea to take some responsibility for your trip and get a good guidebook or do some internet research before you go, especially if you want to look for small museums that don't make the "highlights" lists.Create File See comment in PubMed Commons belowProteins.

After playing catch-up to evolve their approach to reach Millennials, marketers will move more quickly in 2017 to connect with Generation Z. Gen Z is coming of age in a post-linear digital world. Knowledge about everything is at their fingertips and on demand whenever they want it. These shifts will help drive brand growth and increase the power of digital as a channel for brands to meaningfully connect with this audience.

Connectivity has a fundamental influence on how people consume media and make brand choices. It gives brands the opportunity to increase reach exponentially. Marketers need to better meet the personal expectations of their consumers across different touchpoints. The consumer journey has changed dramatically in recent years. Different types of consumers take different paths to purchase, and each use the internet in their own way.

Trends in Europe, for example show that consumers pass from social, to brand-owned, to offline touchpoints throughout the consumer journey. But in emerging markets there is a far greater preference to interact with brands on social at all stages. These differences create big challenges for channel owners, forced to play multiple roles and juggle numerous requests. And when comparing traditional digital touchpoints with mobile touchpoints marketers are faced with a greater risk of delivering an inconsistent brand experience.

Marketers should also be aware of younger consumers who have grown up in a connected world. This is a good indication of the thinking required to align touchpoints into a single view, but true consistency will require considerable time and investment, and for many established brands, this will be a longer-term focus on company structure and data management.

Marketers will continue to pull out all the stops to counter declining ad receptivity. Get ready for more native content, short and long form video, branded filters, and emoji and PR stunts. However some of these formats are isolated, not shareable.

Marketers will also closely monitor effectiveness as studies start to show which formats consumers find annoying and intrusive, particularly on mobile. These advancements create new challenges for marketers.

Far from a controlled consumer view of a brand (TV, outdoor, instore), marketers will face multiplatform, multi-device, in and out of walled gardens, all differently experienced by every consumer. Geotargeting will be seen as a commercial opportunity: KFC has used Snapchat geofilters instore, and Snapchat itself is using geofilters to let people know where to find a Snapbot vending booth.

We will see more sequential content as marketers consider using retargeting for a more strategic and persuasive catenation of consumer messages.

Consumers will stop seeing ads for a mattress they searched for, and bought, two weeks earlier. Marketers will try to introduce emotion into this (supposedly) highly rational, data-driven ecosystem as a point of difference, and to create a longer term bond with the consumer.

However, marketers will start to expect consistent metrics that they can compare, despite being in permanent beta. Done poorly, this targeting can be intrusive, creepy, off-point and ineffective. In 2017, marketers will focus on finding the right balance between precision and intrusion. Advertisers and their agencies will align on the components of effective targeting based on brand affinity, interests and the appropriate demographics.

Most marketers now understand that post-purchase targeting misses the opportunity to influence the consumer before they have decided on a brand. Effective targeting will successfully harmonize mid-cycle path to purchase variables with the requisite interest-based and demographic variables, and empower advertisers to identify the most addressable audiences for media activation. This shift in approach will help marketers and their agencies focus on brand effectiveness from the moment the media begins. He pays close attention to details.
